Streamer Coupling

This component is used in deep-sea seismics. It is made of high-strength titanium and is pulled along long cables behind submarines. This part is used for the detection of
of oil and gas deposits on the high seas. The sensors in this coupling register the vibrations reflected from the seabed after a targeted blasting under water. By evaluating these signals, it is then possible to determine what is under the seabed, since, for example, a natural gas deposit reflects the pressure waves generated by the explosion differently than a simple sandy bottom.
